ಎಸ್.ಕೆ.ಲಿಂಗಣ್ಣಯ್ಯ

ಸಾಗರದ ಕವಿ ಲಿಂಗಣ್ಣಯ್ಯನವರು (೧೮೭೯-೧೯೪೩) ಕವಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣಪ್ಪ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಬ್ಬಮ್ಮನವರ ಪುತ್ರ. ಇವರದು ಬಹುಮುಖ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆ. ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಚಿತ್ರಕಲೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಆಡಳಿತ, ಸಂಗೀತ, ಫೋಟೋಗ್ರಫಿ ಮುಂತಾದ ಅನೇಕ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮದೇ ಆದ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರಸೂಸಿದವರು. ಅವರ ಆತ್ಮ ಚರಿತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು (ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ) 'ಕರ್ಮಯೋಗಿ - ಕಲಾ ವಲ್ಲಭ - ಎಸ್.ಕೆ.ಲಿಂಗಣ್ಣಯ್ಯ' ಎಂಬ ಶೀರ್ಷಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕವಿ ಸುರೇಶ್ ರವರು ಪುಸ್ತಕರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದರ ರಕ್ಷಾಪುಟಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಚಯ ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.

"Our beloved grand father, late S.K.Lingannaiya was an eminent artist par-excellence. Many of his invaluable works such as Chitra Ramayana, Chitra Bhagavatha, Gitopadesha, Vayustuti Maruthi, the Guardian Angel of British Empire etc., have all been preserved in the Keladi Museum.
